چکیده

Performance of multistage interference cancellation (MIC) and three combining techniques, i.e., multipath decorrelating (MIC-DECO), optimum combining (MIC-OPTM), and Rake combining (MIC-RAKE) for asynchronous QPSK/ DS/CDMA over frequency-selective multipath Rayleigh fading channels is studied. The analytical bit error probabilities of the MIC-DECO and MIC-OPTM are derived and shown to be in a good agreement with simulation results. Both analytical and simulation results show that the MIC-DECO, MIC-OPTM, and MIC-RAKE in a multi-user environment provide a good performance close to the ideal performance in a single-user system even in the presence of channel estimation error.

Bit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...

Multistage interference cancellation with diversity reception for asynchronous QPSK DS/CDMA systems over multipath fading channels

A multistage interference cancellation (MIC) technique with diversity reception for QPSK asynchronous Direct-Sequence Code-Division Multiple-Access (DS/CDMA) systems over frequency-selective multipath Rayleigh fading channels is introduced. Unlike the previous MIC [1, 2], which tries to remove the lump sum of the multiple-access interference (MAI) and self-interference (SI), this introduced MIC...

Successive interference cancellation for multiuser asynchronous DS/CDMA detectors in multipath fading links

In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in the use of code-division multiple access (CDMA) in cellular mobile and wireless personal communications. The choice of such multiaccess technique is attractive because of its potential capacity increases and other technical factors such as privacy and multipath rejection capabilities. However, it is well known that the performance of CDM...

Communication Theory Joint data detection and estimation of time-varying multipath rayleigh fading channels in asynchronous DS-CDMA systems with long spreading sequences

In this paper, we present a joint approach to data detection and channel estimation for the asynchronous direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems employing orthogonal signaling formats and long scrambling codes. Our emphasis is placed on different channel estimation algorithms since the performance of a communication system depends largely on its ability to retrieve an ac...
